Jimmy Nelson knew he had his hands full as Astros’ Ace Dallas Keuchel came in to Miller Park Sunday as the Brewers hoped to take the series 2-1. Both struggled early on, but showed they were worthy of having a pitching duel.
As Wily Peralta gave up 6 ER yesterday, the Brewers needed sharp starting pitching and Jimmy Nelson did just that. After his first pitch was a home run to 2nd baseman Jose Altuve, Nelson settled down and had a line of 6 IP, 2 ER, 9 Ks, and 4 BBs.
