The Brewers looked out of gas in their first home game coming off an 8-2 road trip, a 4-1 loss to the Washington Nationals.
The Crew had little answer for LHP Patrick Corbin, who was quite good for the Nats. He gave up three hits and struck out seven across 6.1 innings.
Brett Anderson gave the Crew a fighting chance, inducing eleven groundball outs and striking out three. He looked sharp across the first three scoreless innings but seemed to lose both patience and focus during a mid-game apology from Stephen Colbert to the city of Milwaukee that stalled the fourth inning.
