Milwaukee officially adds Aaron Civale to active roster ahead of Brewers debut Friday night

The Milwaukee Brewers have officially added right-handed pitcher Aaron Civale to the active roster ahead of his debut with the team Friday night in Los Angeles.

Right-hander Janson Junk was optioned to Triple-A Nashville to open up the roster spot. Additionally, infield utilityman Owen Miller cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A.

Civale, 29, is lined up to start against the Dodgers Friday night. He’s had a rough season with Tampa Bay, with a 5.07 ERA and 84 strikeouts across 87 innings (17 starts). Across a six-year MLB career, he’s 33-32 with a 4.10 ERA, 4.
