When a Major League team has two-fifths of its starting rotation on the Injured List, the team is in deep trouble. Not so for the Milwaukee Brewers. Gio Gonzalez hit the IL on Saturday, and Jhoulys Chacin was added on Sunday. The Brewers also added a few familiar names to take their places.
What happened to Gonzalez and Chacin?
Gonzalez was diagnosed with a ‘dead arm’. The rest of him is fine. But his arm? Dead.
He wasn’t said to be suffering any specific pain, but he struggled in his last outing and it’s believed that a week or two on the shelf will help him find the zip that was missing.
