The Milwaukee Brewers have placed RHP Michael Blazek on the 15 day disabled list with a right hand fracture, retroactive to yesterday. The 26 year old long reliever told reporters he fracture was discovered recently while he was playing long toss and he noticed that his hand had begun to swell. The injury was determined to be a fracture of the fourth metacarpal, and Blazek will not require surgery. Blazek made sure to add that despite giving up a walk off home run in his last appearance on Wednesday against the Cubs, he did not punch a wall in frustration.
