Competitive Balance Rounds have been set, and the Milwaukee Brewers received the fourth pick in Competitive Balance Round B. That pick will take place between the second and third rounds of the draft while round A is between the first and second rounds.
According to MLB.com, Major League Baseball uses a formula that combines revenue, winning percentage, and market score to award draft picks to the teams that fall into the bottom 10 in revenue or market size. MLB began using that formula in 2017, and in that first year, six teams received Round A picks and eight teams received Round B picks.
