The man might be getting another chance to prove that he can hit. The Milwaukee Brewers made have made a roster move this morning before the series finale in St. Louis, recalling infielder Keston Hiura from Triple-A.
With the division clinched and some regular players slated for rest before the end of the season — including Willy Adames, who is still nursing a bothersome quad — Hiura will come up and potentially get to see some at-bats against big league pitching before the conclusion of the year.
It has been a lost summer for the former top prospect — he was displaced from second base by the arrival of Kolten Wong, struggled to adapt defensively when he was handed the first base job, and seemingly lost the ability to capably hit MLB pitching.
