Devin Williams of the Milwaukee Brewers is a Rookie of the Year Candidate in the National League. After a regular season where he recorded a 0.33 ERA in 27 IP, he’s not only one of the top rookies in the league, but one of the top pitchers overall. While that award will not be announced until after the postseason, Williams did get an award in the meantime, earning the Reliever of the Month award for the National League.
Williams has been on fire this season. Not only did he not allow a run over 13 innings in September, he allowed a total of seven baserunners: 4 hits, 3 walks.
