Milwaukee Brewers pick Brice Turang 21st overall in the MLB Draft

With their first pick in the 2018 MLB Draft, the Milwaukee Brewers select shortstop Brice Turang. The high school lefty has been scouted for years and many analysts believe he suffered from “prospect fatigure” causing him to fall in the draft.

According to MLB Pipeline, Turang is above average in every tool but his power. He can likely stick at short with good speed and an advanced feel for fielding. Turang also hits the ball all over and shows gap power. He’ll never be a home run hitter, but he can certainly be a .300 hitter with 30 stolen bases a year.
