The Missions opened the first game of a four game series with the Cubs on Monday with a 4-3 victory!
Eight Missions had a hit, but no hit was bigger than pitcher Adrian Houser’s solo home run in the third inning to get San Antonio on the board.
Houser, who recently was optioned back to Triple-A, was strong through five innings, allowing two runs on three hits with five strikeouts.
Three Missions had doubles: Tyler Saladino, Tyrone Taylor, and Mauricio Dubon. Saladino and Taylor’s resulted in runs scored in the fourth and sixth inning.
