Opening Day is now less than two weeks away and the Milwaukee Brewers continue to pare down the group competing for roster spots to begin the season. Today the club optioned another three players down to Triple-A Nashville:
Luke Maile, 30, was signed to a split contract to effectively serve as the shuttle catcher for the Brewers this season. He has played in parts of 5 MLB seasons and posted a 95 wRC+ and 2.1 fWAR in 231 plate appearances for the Blue Jays in 2018, his best big league season to date.
