Jean Segura‘s injury has left a hole in the middle of the diamond for the Milwaukee Brewers. While Hector Gomez and Elian Herrera have been excellent filling in as utility men this season, Luis Sardinas needs to be in the lineup everyday while Segura is out.
Debuting with the Brewers on his 22nd birthday in Saturday night’s blowout loss, Sardinas shined. He laced two singles in his first two at-bats and was able to score the only Brewers’ run. In the field he showed of his glove skills and proved why he is viewed as such a plus-defender, as he was able to get to several balls far to his left.
