Domingo Santana can crush a baseball. In nearly 700 minor league games in his career, he has 107 home runs, a .280 batting average and a .854 OPS. The free-swinging outfielder has simply terrorized minor league pitching. With his bat on fire, he is pushing for a call-up very soon.
Before the trade and joining the Brewers’ organization, Santana was already off to a fine season. In 75 games in AAA with the Fresno Grizzlies, he was batting .320 with 16 home runs and an eye-popping 1.008 OPS. In his two-week call-up to the Astros, he also flashed power by homering twice in 39 at-bats.
