The Tommy Milone era has ended in Milwaukee. The veteran lefty has been designated for assignment by the Brewers, and he will be replaced in the bullpen with Rob Scahill.
In 21 innings of work this year Milone has allowed 29 hits and 15 runs, all earned. He started three games and appeared three times in relief. He only walked two, but the six home runs allowed in those 21 innings made him expendable.
Scahill, 30, was acquired from the Pittsburgh organization on waivers last season. The 30 year old has worked 8.
