The Milwaukee Brewers announced a roster move earlier today via Twitter, claiming infielder Ehire Adrianza off of waivers from the San Francisco Giants. He was DFA'd last week when the Giants announced the signing of Nick Hundley. To make room on the 40 man roster, righty reliever Rob Scahill has been designated for assignment.
Adrianza, who will turn 28 next summer, began his career as an international free agent signing by the Pirates back in 2006. He was ranked among the organization's top prospects by Baseball America in each year from 2008-2013, including being named as the organization's best defensive infielder from 2010-12.
