The Milwaukee Brewers have announced their Opening Day 30-man roster for the shortened 60-game season.
The assembled roster has 16 pitchers and 14 hitters. Of those players six are making their first-ever Opening Day roster.
The Brewers’ roster has few surprises on it. Craig Counsell told reporters and fans ahead of time that it would be predominantly pitching. Logan Morrison was the only fringe roster candidate, but the team informed him days ago that he had won a position in Spring Training and Summer Camp.
As for pitchers, we had known the Justin Grimm had made the team for the same reason as Logan Morrison.
