Earlier this afternoon, the Milwaukee Brewers announced their coaching staff for the upcoming 2021 season, and for the most part, it will be very similar to the group that operated together during the most recent campaign. Hitting coach Andy Haines and pitching coach Chris Hook will both return in their same capacities. Jacob Cruz continues as the assistant hitting coach and Steve Karsay returns to the bullpen. Walker McKinven will be back in an associate coach capacity to assist manager Craig Counsell and bench coach Pat Murphy.
There is one significant shakeup, however.
While Jason Lane will continue as a base coach, Milwaukee’s long-time third base coach, Ed Sedar, will no longer be a part of the staff as he transitions to an advisory role.
