The Milwaukee Brewers dealt with myriad injuries this season, beginning all the way back at the outset of Spring Training. The first player to go down was hard-throwing reliever Bobby Wahl, who came over from New York in the Keon Broxton trade and looked to be in line for a role in the bullpen. He suffered an absurdly rare injury during the first week of March, tearing the ACL in his push-off leg while throwing a pitch during an exhibition game against the Seattle Mariners. At the time, President David Stearns noted that it was only the third-ever occurrence of such an injury within the league’s database.
