Oh sure, the Milwaukee Brewers can’t afford to add new players, but they can afford to repair their roof! The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that the Southeast Wisconsin Professional Baseball Park District board has approved a $1.8 million upgrade to the system that controls Miller Park’s retractable roof.
At 20 years old, the current drive train has reached the end of its life and needs to be updated and replaced. The upgrade will take roughly 18 months to complete and bring the system to a modern standard.
According to the Journal Sentinel article, the replacement is part of scheduled park maintenance.
