LOS ANGELES -- Brewers manager Craig Counsell pulled the latest surprise maneuver in what's been a constant chess match of the National League Championship Series by removing starter Wade Miley after one batter in Game 5 on Wednesday at Dodger Stadium.
Your move, Dave Roberts.
Counsell's decision to go to his bullpen after Cody Bellinger led off the game with a walk essentially made an "opener" of Miley, who pitched into the sixth inning of his Game 2 start on Saturday in Milwaukee, and it lines up the lefty to start again later this series.
