After their 11-game winning streak was snapped on Sunday, the Milwaukee Brewers were looking to begin a new streak on Monday in New York City against the Mets. Brandon Woodruff took the mound, but unfortunately he got touched up a bit in this game and couldn’t get much support from his offense.
Mets’ starter Tylor Megill started the game off by putting up three zeroes across the first three innings, though he was outdone by Woodruff in that time, who set down the first nine men he faced in order. Both teams broke through in the fourth inning.
