Lorenzo Cain opts out of remainer of 2020 season

The Milwaukee Brewers have announced that Lorenzo Cain is opting out for the remainder of the 2020 season.

Cain’s decision comes after reports that at least five St. Louis Cardinals players and personnel have tested positive for COVID-19 and the Miami Marlins are in the midst of an outbreak affecting well over a dozen employees and players.

Over just five games, Cain was off to a hot start with a .333/.429/.389 line. He had forced Craig Counsell to move him up in the lineup after starting in the eighth spot the first few games.
