Logan Morrison elects free agency after being outrighted off Brewers roster

The Milwaukee Brewers announced yesterday via Twitter that veteran first baseman/outfielder Logan Morrison has elected to become a free agent. Morrison was designated for assignment on August 10th to make room on the roster for Luis Urias.

Morrison, looking to reignite his career after taking only 38 MLB plate appearances in 2019, came to Milwaukee on a minor league deal and played impressively enough during Spring Training and Summer Camp to earn a spot on the expanded Opening Day roster.
