Keston Hiura wins NL Player of the Week

Keston Hiura almost definitely won’t win this year’s NL Rookie of the Year award, but he’s at least starting to earn some national attention, even though he’s only played in 37 games.

Hiura was named the National League’s Player of the Week today:

Laureano: .542/.577/1.042
@Kestdaddy: .517/.548/.966

That will earn you Player of the Week honors.

Hiura is in the midst of an 11-game hit streak, which he continued on Sunday with a double in his first at-bat and a triple in the 8th inning that sparked the Brewers’ late-inning outburst, leading the team to a big four-game series win in Arizona.
