Pittsburgh— The concussion symptoms of Jonathan Lucroy had not improved Friday, so the Milwaukee Brewers will send their catcher to be examined by a specialist Saturday.
Lucroy will go to the renowned Sports Medicine Concussion Clinic at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center to be examined by specialist Micky Collins. Athletes in many sports who suffer concussions are seen at that clinic, and Collins has treated NHL star Sidney Crosby of the Pittsburgh Penguins and Rockies first baseman Justin Morneau.
"He appeared to be getting better at first but now he has stalled, so we thought we'd take advantage of (the clinic at UPMC) being here to get Jonathan looked at," Brewers assistant general manager Gord Ash said.
