Jimmy Nelson sparkles again as Brewers end six-game losing streak

A bright spot in a dark season for the Milwaukee Brewers has been the emergence of Jimmy Nelson.

The young right-hander turned in another strong start Tuesday night, allowing three singles and one unearned run over 62/3 innings as the Brewers beat the San Diego Padres, 4-1, at Miller Park to snap a six-game losing streak.

Nelson (9-9) also struck out four while walking only one in winning for the sixth time in his last eight starts.

Ryan Braun reached base four times and scored two runs, and Khris Davis drove in a pair of runs to power the offense.
