It has been a season of ups and downs for Brewers' starting pitching

No baseball season goes exactly as planned.

There are too many moving parts, too many games, too many injuries – basically, too many variables – for a team's blueprint to remain intact from the outset.

That being said, suffice it to say the Brewers' starting pitching has been unpredictable from the very beginning of the season. When the club assembled for spring training, the projected rotation was Wily Peralta, Matt Garza, Jimmy Nelson, Taylor Jungmann and Chase Anderson.

The Brewers didn't make it out of camp before Garza went down with a long-term injury, a strained lat muscle behind his pitching shoulder.
