Injury keeps Yhonathan Barrios from contention for Brewers relief role

Phoenix – You don't have to be a math whiz to see the Milwaukee Brewers have far more outfielders in spring training than could make the roster for opening day.

Being a non-roster player makes it even more complicated.

Alex Presley, who has bounced around the last few years from team to team, is well aware of those obstacles. The 30-year-old journeyman knows it doesn't help to play the roster game in one's mind but how do you ignore your surroundings?

"It's natural to do that," said Presley, who signed a minor-league deal with the Brewers in mid-December with an invitation to their camp.
