Milwaukee Brewers third baseman Aramis Ramirezhas been seeking offensive performances all season like the one he enjoyed Friday night in an 8-4 victory over Washington.
The irony of that quest is the more Ramirez hits like that, the more he'll hear his name mentioned in trade rumors. The first one popped up last week when the New York Mets were reported to have interest in acquiring the soon-to-be 37-year-old veteran.
"I can't control that, so I can't let that affect my play out there," said Ramirez, who ripped three doubles and drove in five runs in the victory over the Nationals.
