Henderson to start rehab stint for shoulder

PITTSBURGH -- Brewers reliever Jim Henderson began a Minor League rehab assignment with Class A Advanced Brevard County on Friday night.

Henderson started for the Manatees and pitched a scoreless, hitless inning. He walked the Dunedin Blue Jays' leadoff hitter, Roemon Fields, who went on to steal second and third. Henderson struck out two of his final three batters.

Henderson opened the season on the disabled list with right shoulder inflammation after undergoing shoulder surgery last August.

The right-hander worked through some discomfort in Spring Training while attempting to regain his velocity. He pitched in Minor League games this spring and continued his rehab in extended Spring Training.
