Hader falls to earth as Brewers lose to Royals

MILWAUKEE -- Brent Suter's solid outing fell apart, Josh Hader proved he's human after all, and the Royals mounted their biggest scoring rally in weeks to beat the Brewers, 5-4, on Wednesday afternoon at Miller Park.

Kansas City hadn't scored more than four runs in any of its past 19 games, but the Royals touched left-handers Suter and Hader for five runs on a walk and five hits for a 5-1 lead in the seventh, and they needed every one of those runs. Brad Miller's first Brewers home run was a three-run shot in the bottom of the ninth inning before the Royals summoned their new closer, former Brewer Wily Peralta, to finish the game.
