Giannis Antetokounmpo is capping off one hell of a summer.
After bringing Milwaukee its first major sports championship in 50 years and generally becoming the king of the city, he’s adding another line to his resume: part-owner of a Major League Baseball team.
The Brewers and Giannis held a joint press conference Friday afternoon, announcing the NBA Finals MVP was becoming the first new investor in the team in 17 years.
Calling it a “dream come true” for a kid who grew up poor in Athens and came from immigrant parents, Antetokounmpo said he wanted to be sure to invest back into the community that invested so much in him.
