Freddy Peralta will be getting another MLB start. It’ll just be a couple days later than he expected.
Wednesday night’s rainout in Pittsburgh allowed the Brewers to give everyone in their rotation an extra day of rest, pushing back everyone slated for the upcoming series against the St. Louis Cardinals back a day. That meant Peralta, who was promised the start in Sunday’s series finale, would be bumped from the series.
With the Brewers having another off day on Monday after the St. Louis series — pretty much eliminating the need for a 5th starter for now — it was no guarantee that Peralta would be staying on the 25-man roster.
