It’s been a struggle so far this season for Freddy Peralta. He’s had some rough starts, but on Wednesday night he looked like the ace that we’ve known. He pitched six scoreless innings as the Brewers provided enough offense to win the rubber match against the Angels.
Before Peralta even threw a pitch, the Brewers had staked him to a 1-0 lead. It was thanks to a little bit of small ball. Joey Ortiz led off the game with a walk, then William Contreras singled. Christian Yelich grounded out and moved them both up, and Willy Adames walked to load the bases.
