Ernesto, Rodriguez part of Crew's int'l take

The Brewers were very active during the previous international signing period, inking several prospects from across the globe.

That trend continued during the current period, which began on Sunday.

According to industry sources, the Brewers agreed to a $1.8 million deal with outfielder Larry Ernesto of the Dominican Republic and a pact with Venezuela outfielder Carlos Rodriguez for $1.355 million. Ernesto is ranked No. 14 on MLBPipeline.com's Top 30 International Prospect list, while Rodriguez is ranked No. 28.

The club did not confirm the deals.

Ernesto is a toolsy player with an athletic, projectable body.
