Milwaukee Brewers slugger Eric Thames finished 3-for-4 with a home run, three runs scored and one RBI during Monday's 6-3 victory over the Chicago Cubs. In doing so, he became the first Brewer since Jeromy Burnitz in 1997 to homer in five straight outings, per ESPN Stats & Info.
Burnitz finished the 1997 season with 27 homers in 494 at-bats, as well as a .934 OPS.
With Monday's showing, Thames also became the first Brewer to go yard seven times in the team's first 14 games since Carlos Lee in 2006.
