MINNEAPOLIS -- The Twins overcame a three-run deficit with the help of a four-hit game from Jorge Polanco and a run-scoring balk in the seventh inning in a 5-4 win over the Brewers on Monday night at Target Field.
The Twins have won back-to-back games for the first time since July 7 and sit 2 1/2 games back of the Royals and Rays for the second American League Wild Card spot. The Brewers started the day a half-game behind the NL Central-leading Cubs, and are in danger of falling 1 1/2 back, pending Chicago's result Monday night in San Francisco.
