Scottsdale, Ariz. — No matter how many years you've played in the major leagues, you want to see a few positive results during spring training to feel confident when the bell rings.
That goes for Aaron Hill, 34, who has nearly 11 years of service time in the big leagues. He hadn't seen many good things happen in exhibition play until Tuesday, when he put together a three-hit game in a 9-2 loss to Cincinnati.
Even with that three-spot, Hill was hitting only .196 with a .535 OPS for the spring entering the game Wednesday against Colorado.
