MILWAUKEE -- Brewers fans wondering what the team has in store for Zach Davies in September aren't alone. Davies is wondering, too.
On Sunday morning, the right-hander was mapping his drive to Clinton, Iowa, where Davies is scheduled to start for Class A Wisconsin on Monday night. To Davies' surprise, the Brewers optioned him to that affiliate on Thursday as Davies' Minor League rehabilitation assignment expired.
"It's not my decision. It's not something that I get to decide on," Davies said. "I feel I'm ready, and whatever they decide on is the route we're going to go.
