One of the things Brewers manager Craig Counsell likes about Chris Carter is you can never tell from the big first baseman's expression if he just hit a tape-measure home run or struck out with the bases loaded.
"He doesn't show it either way," said Counsell. "He's very even-keeled and his disposition rarely changes."
Nevertheless, with Carter in the throes of a 0-for-20 skid at the plate, Counsell figured it was a good time to get him out of the starting lineup Saturday night for the third game of the four-game series against San Diego.
