Whenever there is an injury to a player on the major league roster, there is a spiraling effect in the system. With Jean Segura recently put on the 15-day disabled list for the Milwaukee Brewers, Luis Sardinas was called-up to fill in. This move had an effect on the whole organization. In Sardinas’ place in AAA, the Brewers have promoted middle infielder, Yadiel Rivera to the Colorado Springs Sky Sox.
Once known mainly for his defense, which is widely viewed as the best in the entire system, Rivera’s bat has improved with each season.
