Atlanta — The Milwaukee Brewers placed reliever Chris Capuano on the 15-day disabled list with left-elbow soreness prior to Thursday's series finale with the Atlanta Braves at Turner Field.
Capuano, who is a two-time veteran of Tommy John surgery, was relatively confident that the issue was inflammation and not something structural.
"The sensation I'm feeling now is identical to what I went through coming back from my second Tommy John, the one in 2008 that took me 16-17 months to get back from," Capuano said. "The sensation that I have now, the inflammation, feels very similar.
