MILWAUKEE -- Their Opening Day starter remained mired in his funk, but Brewers hitters slugged Wily Peralta to victory with Milwaukee's best offensive game of the season.
Peralta surrendered a career-high 13 hits and couldn't make it through the sixth inning, but he won his second straight start thanks to an offense that produced a seven-run third en route to a 14-5 win over the Marlins on Sunday at Miller Park. Chris Carter hit a pair of home runs and Ryan Braun, Domingo Santana and Martin Maldonado enjoyed multi-RBI games of their own to avoid a Miami sweep.
