LOS ANGELES -- Lorenzo Cain drove the bus for the Brewers -- to borrow one of manager Craig Counsell's favorite phrases -- in Tuesday's win over the Dodgers. Twenty-four hours later, he was a leading candidate for the job again.
Cain circled the bases for a leadoff Little League home run, hitting a triple and scoring on an error charged to Brian Dozier in the new Dodgers second baseman's first inning with the club. When Dozier's throw caromed past third baseman Manny Machado and into the dugout, Cain was awarded home for a 1-0 Brewers lead.
