DENVER -- The Brewers' bats came alive at altitude, with Lorenzo Cain leading the way before many in the Coors Field crowd had found their seats.
Cain connected with the very first pitch of a four-game series for his second career leadoff home run, the first of his two RBIs and the first of the Brewers' 12 hits in a 5-2 win over the Rockies on Thursday.
Hernan Perez hit two-run single amid a three-run rally in the fifth inning, and Cain reached safely four times before manager Craig Counsell's recently fortified bullpen held the Rockies scoreless over the final four innings.
