Earlier this week, Rawlings announced the winners of the annual Gold Glove awards, where Brice Turang and Sal Frelick were honored at second base and right field, respectively. Tonight, the Brewers learned that they got even more defensive hardware.
Turang was honored as the Platinum Glove winner, recognizing him (via fan vote) as the best defensive player at any position in the National League. Seattle catcher Cal Raleigh won the American League’s version of the award. Additionally, the Brewers won the National League’s team Gold Glove award for the second straight season, with the Toronto Blue Jays also repeating as winners in the American League.
