Coming into tonight’s action, the St. Louis Cardinals had won 17 games in a row. They had also beaten the Brewers 5 times in a row. Milwaukee was keen to end the streak, and they did. Not surprisingly, the Brewers’ pitching was the star of the show as they recorded the MLB leading 19th shutout of the season.
Adrian Houser got the start. While he was not as brilliant as he was in his previous outing against St. Louis where he pitched a complete game shutout, he was still pretty good. By the end of his night, Houser covered 5 innings giving up just 3 hits.
