The Milwaukee Brewers beat the Seattle Mariners 2-1 in walk-off fashion in a nine-inning Spring Training affair Monday night.
Corbin Burnes got the start for the Milwaukee Nine’s 17th Spring Training game. Burnes continued his strong push for a rotation spot. The righty had a strong first inning, with only one hiccup, allowing Evan White to walk with one out. He then set down Daniel Vogelback and Kyle Lewis on back-to-back strikeouts to end the inning.
In the top of the first inning, Lorenzo Cain smacked a lead off homer — his first of the Spring — to give the Brewers an early 1-0 lead.
