With Milwaukee off to a blistering hot start this season, they looked to take the opener against the team they made a blockbuster trade with this offseason, the Baltimore Orioles. The Brewers sent Corbin Burnes to Baltimore in what was one of the biggest moves of the offseason, and now ace Freddy Peralta started against Tyler Wells.
The Brewers got on the board first when Rhys Hoskins doubled to right in the top of the second and was brought home by a Gary Sanchez home run to left field. Andruw Monasterio then drew a walk, and Joey Ortiz followed that up with a triple against his former club, bringing home Monasterio.
