The Milwaukee Brewers began their three-game series against the Boston Red Sox tonight with a feel-good win. The Brewers’ best offensive players produced in a big way, and four pitchers combined to allow just two runs while striking out ten.
After struggling badly in two of three games against the Miami Marlins earlier this week, the Milwaukee offense looked to get their offense going early against Boston starter Kutter Crawford. It was a tall order: Crawford came into the game with a 2.17 ERA in ten starts and has had one of the better seasons among American League starting pitchers.
